Surinam Training Centre (STC) became operational in March 1998. The centre was set up to decentralize training activities and to make training opportunities accessible to all those wishing to join the world of work. It offers training at National Certificate Level in Electrical Installation Work, Plumbing and Pipe Fitting, Building Maintenance, Garment Making and Agriculture.
The course in Agriculture is jointly conducted by AREU and MITD at Wooton Agricultural Station.
